    Registration for Summer 2025 will open on the following dates:

    • Alberta: May 13, 2025 at 10 AM MST

    • Saskatchewan: May 15, 2025 at 10 AM MST

    • Quebec: May 21, 2025 at 10 AM EST

  • We offer two different kinds of sessions depending on your location.

    Alberta & Saskatchewan

    Rolling Sessions (September – June)

    • No Need to Re-Register: Lessons automatically roll over each billing period.

    • Consistent Schedule: 30-minute weekly lessons at the same time, day, and location.

    • Your Spot is Reserved: As long as you're enrolled, your spot stays yours.

    • Billing: Payments are processed on your registration date and future billing dates.

    Summer Sessions (July – August)

    • New Registration Required for Summer

    • Choose to swim once per week for 8 weeks, or join our Summer Intensives (Monday–Thursday for 2 weeks).

    • Summer Sessions do not roll into the fall.

    Quebec (Mercier)

    Rolling Sessions—Year-Round (September to August)

  • École de Natation K&K in Mercier, Quebec, is not officially open with our first-ever Spring Session running from March 31 to June 29, 2025.

  • If you are unable to attend a lesson, you can submit an absence online through your iClass account, or email us:

    *Please note: We apologize for any inconvenience, however, makeup lessons, credits, or refunds will not be offered for swimmer absences. Our instructors are scheduled to be at the pool for your lesson time and will be present even if you are not able to attend.

  • What Types of Lessons Do You Offer?

    When registering on iClass, you'll see different lesson options based on your location.

    Alberta & Saskatchewan

    You’ll have the option to sign up for:

    • Parent & Tot Lessons: For swimmers aged 5–24 months. These are one-on-one, parent-assisted lessons that focus on building water confidence and foundational skills with personalized attention.

    • Private Lessons: For swimmers aged 2 years to adults. These one-on-one lessons include:

      • Learn to Swim: Designed for beginners to develop water safety and basic swimming skills.

      • Stroke Development: For more experienced swimmers looking to refine their technique and build endurance.

    • All lessons are tailored to the swimmer’s needs, with the appropriate program determined based on age and skill level.

    Quebec

    You’ll have the option to sign up for:

    • Group Lessons: Available for all ages, including:

      • Babies (5–36 months)

      • Preschoolers (3–5 years)

      • School Age (6–10 years)

      • Teens (11–16 years)

      • Adults (17+ years)

    • These group lessons include Parent & Tot, Learn to Swim, Stroke Development, and Adult, classes maintain a 4:1 swimmer-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized attention in a small group setting.

    All K&K swimming lessons are 30 minutes long.

  • At K&K, we believe that every swimmer deserves the opportunity to develop at their own pace, gaining confidence in their relationship with the water.

    Our unique curriculum, Swimful, is meticulously crafted with the best industry standards to guide swimmers through each stage of learning, emphasizing mindfulness, breath control, and building a connection with the water.

    We prioritize personal progress and growth over the traditional pass/fail system, recognizing that each swimmer has their own unique journey. Our dedicated instructors tailor lessons to meet the specific needs and abilities of each individual, ensuring every swimmer receives the support they need to thrive.

  • Prices are dependent on your location. To find pricing for your location, click here.

  • We recommend arriving dressed to swim! To minimize traffic in the pool area, we suggest K&K swimmers come to the venue wearing their bathing suits under their clothes.

    Please remember to bring your own towel, as hotel towels are not to be used by K&K swimmers.

    Goggles are encouraged, as they greatly improve your swimmer’s comfort in the water. Be ready for your next class and shop goggles here.

    Swim diapers are MANDATORY for children under three-years-old to prevent water contamination. All non-potty-trained students must wear three layers over their bottoms to prevent accidents and leakage. We recommend Happy Nappy’s (equivalent to all three layers), available in four different sizes and two different designs, on our website here!

  • Yes! At K&K, we are committed to providing a positive and supportive environment for swimmers of all abilities.

    • In Alberta and Saskatchewan, we offer one-on-one private lessons, allowing instructors to tailor the experience to each swimmer’s unique needs. After registering, you'll receive a Swimmer History form in your enrollment email, where you can share any relevant details. This information will be communicated to your instructor before your first lesson.

    • In Quebec, our small group lessons (4:1 ratio) are designed to be inclusive, with personalized attention in a supportive setting. For swimmers who may thrive in a smaller group or one-on-one setting, we have an interest form available for families at our Mercier location. This helps us explore private or semi-private lesson options based on demand.

    All of our instructors are trained to communicate effectively, with care and patience, to create a welcoming space for every swimmer.

  • Each lesson runs for 30 minutes once a week, including a brief progress overview at the end of the session. We find that 30 minutes is the perfect length for swimmers to stay engaged and make meaningful progress, whether in one-on-one lessons (offered in Alberta and Saskatchewan) or small group lessons (offered in Quebec).

    Our research-based Swimful curriculum focuses on building a genuine connection with the water, emphasizing mindfulness, breath control, and water safety.

    Because our lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each swimmer, rates of progress will vary. However, growth is always guaranteed!

    • In our Parent & Tot lessons:

      • Alberta & Saskatchewan: For babies aged 5–24 months, a parent or guardian is required to be in the water with their child to provide support and assist with guided activities.

      • Quebec: For babies aged 5–36 months, a parent or guardian is required to be in the water as part of our group Parent & Tot lessons. We also offer a Transition level for 3 to 5-year-old swimmers working on Learn to Swim 1 skills. This class is parent-assisted and is designed to ease the transition from Parent & Tot to independent lessons.

    • For swimmers aged:

      • 2 years and older in Private Lessons (offered in Alberta and Saskatchewan), and

      • 3 years and older in Group Lessons (offered in Quebec),
        parents/guardians are not required to enter the water. Instead, we ask that you remain on the pool deck/viewing area to observe the lesson and support your swimmer from the sidelines.

  • All K&K instructors are fully trained and experienced, and we have complete confidence in their ability to connect with swimmers, build trust, and grow a love for the water. To get to know our instructors, click here.

    We strongly recommend to plan for a time and location that will work best for you long term.

    Note: While we do our best to avoid changes to your enrolment, your instructor or location may be subject to change.

  • In Alberta and Saskatchewan, our lessons are held in hotel pools, so hotel guests may be present in the pool area during your lesson.

    In Quebec, our lessons take place in a dedicated K&K pool, where multiple lessons may occur simultaneously, but the space is reserved exclusively for our swim programs.

    Our instructors are trained to maintain safety and productivity in both shared and dedicated pool environments. These settings help swimmers adapt to real-life swimming situations, building confidence as they learn.
